Abstract

The course is part of the ENGAGE.EU initiative and is offered by the IPS at the UNWE with the participation of lecturers from UNWE, Tilburg University, Ramon Llull University – Barcelona and includes online educational materials of Vienna University of Economics and Business. The goal of the course is to introduce entrepreneurs from different stages of their business development, as well as managers and management consultants, to the opportunities for starting and growing an environmentally friendly business, on the one hand, and to the role and importance of impact reporting tools for the success of such a business, on the other.

The focus of the training will be on justifying the need to implementation of the impact reporting in entrepreneurial practice and its role as a tool for achieving long-term competitive advantage.

The training will cover the known foundations on which frameworks, regulations, approaches and tools for impact reporting are built, all of which is considered in the context of sustainable entrepreneurship.

The last day focuses on translating impact reporting into concrete strategic action. Participants move from understanding reporting frameworks to designing actionable impact plans and developing a Theory of Change that links actions to measurable outcomes when operating in a European context.

The program is aimed primarily at entrepreneurs and managers of start-ups and growing ventures who are aware of the importance of the environmental sustainability of their products and technological processes as a competitive advantage and would like to prove to their clients and partners their real concern for the environment. In addition to them, the course will be suitable for management consultants, whose services will be used by entrepreneurs and managers striving to work according to high environmental sustainability standards.

Proficiency in English language is required.
